Need help on a Type 38

A few months ago I purchased a Type 38 from my favorite local gun shop. I did a little research on the markings and found out it's a Series 27 Nagoya in the 62XXX serial number range. It is complete minus the cleaning rod and upper hand guard. It has been duffle cut and is not import marked. The mum is also completely intact. I bought this to try and clean it up (not restore) and get it into shooting condition. Anyways, I bought a replacement stock off of ebay and it is slightly different than the original stock. The muzzle end and front barrel band are different and the buttstock is one piece as opposed to the well known two piece buttstock. The stock also has a cartouche that I know nothing about. So to make what I'm looking for easier to understand:

    1. What kind of Type 38 is this replacement stock off of?
    2. Where can I find the metal parts to attach my barrel/receiver to this other stock?
    3. What does the cartouche on the new stock mean?

First 3 pics are of cartouche:

Next 3 are of current stock muzzle end:

Last 3 are of new stock muzzle end

Well, I found out on another forum I got a trainer stock and is not recommended to use with a regular Type 38.

Can't see the rest of the stock, but it may be a type 99 long rifle stock. But the one piece makes me think maybe not.
The characters are hard to read, possibly (yama , dai, ichi, ori) or (mountain, replace?, one, period of time) . Together , they may have a special meaning.
