    Chinese mauser

I just purchased a Chinese mauser for but don't know anything about them. All i know is that it is a copy of the Yugoicon m24. what is the average price for Chinese mausers? The one i bought is in rough condition but has strong rifling and i paid $125 for it. Did i do okay? Anything I should know about Chinese Mausers?

Actually, China purchased MANY variants of the Mauser spanning several decades and even built their own. It really depends on what one you have. Some of them are even Germanicon K98ks remarked as commercial models.

Pics would help. But if it's mechanically sound (perhaps see a gunsmith?) then it should be just fine to fire.

Are you referring to the Chinese Norinco .22 cal Mauser training rifle?

No, he's referring to an 8mm Chinese "chang kai sheck" mauser. It's a king od broad term covering everything from VZ24 clones to K98kicon mauser banner rifles bought by the chinese government to (unsuccessfully) fight the communists and also the Japaneseicon (successfully).

You have to search completed auctions for Mauser. It's the last rifle sold.

Last month I bought a Mauser banner Chinese issue. It's pretty much a 98K with a bunch of little snow balls stamped in it. I haven't shot it yet because of the kids soccer/baseball commitments. But as soon as time allows I'll be reporting the results-SDH
