1889 Schmidt Rubin
First off I am new so please don't rough me up because my firearm is not in stock form. I had a 1889 schmit rubin given to me and unfortunately it is one that is a sporterized version and barrel in front of sight was shortened. I am still researching and reading info on it as I can find. It has broken magazine cutoff lever, does anyone where one of these could found, any help would be appreciated. Thank You for letting me join the forum.

So your going to want to check the caliber. Many of the sporterized ones were converted to .30-30. Otherwise I don't have much of a clue for parts.

Its not marked any where on it that I can see that the caliber has been changed. Thanks for the reply.

Don't use modern ammunition in it. This rifle was not made for it.

Sure not going to jump on you for something someone else did and was common with all rifles of that era as well.
