    Enfields For Sale

I noticed the following Enfield No4 MkI's on an auction site:

    No.4 Mk I Enfield (Wah Cantt) ROF (F) U/43 .303

    No.4 Mk I 1941 Enfield (Long Branch) .303 Brit

Both of these are being sold by the same seller and are listed as part of a collectors estate. I contacted the seller for additional pictures of the "Wah Cantt" rifle because the description was a little confusing (Wah Cantt = POFicon and ROF (F) = Faz). The seller told me that he did not have much time to spend selling the estate guns and that they have all been packaged and ready to ship as soon as sold. He did provide me with a s/n, which is GA29151A. Based on the s/n and part of the desricption, this is an ROF-F rifle, not a POF rifle.

The other rifle is the 1941 Long Branch. There is not a clear picture of the left side receiver, so I am unable to see the date of the rifle; however, if you look closely at the last picture, the s/n is 27L7xxx.

I just thought I would post this as an FYI since many would love to add a POF MKI and/or a 1941 LB.

    No.4 MK I Enfield (Wah Cantt) ROF (F) U/43 .303 : Bolt Action at GunBroker.com

    No.4 Mk I 1941 Enfield (Long Branch) .303 Brit. : Bolt Action at GunBroker.com

After re-reading my post, I did not make clear that neither of these are what they are described as, this is the purpose of this post. I meant to say that many would love to own a POF MKI or a 1941 LB and may bid based on the item description only since the pictures are of poor quality. In other words, be careful before bidding on these, they are not what you think they are.

    Sorry for the confusion.
