Hello to all of you knowledgeable Ross aficionados! I've been collecting milsurp rifles for a few years now, but I'm fairly new to Ross rifles. I have the chance to snag a Ross MKII***, one that was shipped over under US contract in 1917. It looks like a pretty solid rifle, though it does have its share of issues.

1. The wood looks lightly sanded and refinished
2. the front sight blade does not look original to me from what I've seen in pictures.
3. missing front sight hood and all 4 screws.
4. it looks like a couple sling swivels are missing.

With all that being said, the person selling said its fully functional and the wood is without cracks. My questions to those with certainly more knowledge than myself, and with a better eye as to what to look for, is would you buy or pass this rifle up? The asking in $600 but I'm not too sure how hard it would be to find the replacement parts, albeit few and small, to get this rifle back to original shape. Thanks for all your help!
