Supposedly there were a small number of "short barreled" T-99 Carbines found at wars end at the Jinsen Arsenal in Korea. I've never personally held one, have seen a photo or two. I think "Military Rifles of Japan" by Fred Honeycutt has a photo of one.

I have only seen drawings of the real Jinsen carbine . A real one would be illegal to own unless registered as a SBR . There are a few home made Type 99 carbines out there .

The "T99 carbine" this guy has is has a barrel longer than 16". I suspect its privately modified.
