The first problem is its a Century receiver the main problem is it just won't cycle like it is short stroking my gunsmith has been through it over and over and nothing is binding in the gas system. Any ideas?

There's only ONE thing that drives the breech block and carrier backwards in your rifle, and that is the piston. And there's only one thing that drives the piston rearwards, and that is an explosive force of gas. And if the piston ain't driving the breech block and carrier backwards sufficient to re-cock the action, then you ain't got enough of it - gas that is!

What Peter said ---- and with that, turn the gas all the way open, check to see if the plug is in right way round, the piston moves freely and into the receiver, and that the gas port isn't blocked.

Dose the Gas Cylinder have its retaining pin?
Remove the Regulator and see if the hole on the lower section of the Gas Block is missing the Retaining Pin. Its something I've run into before.
It could also be the slots in the Gas Cylinder have cracks radiating out from the ends.

Also, check to see if you can see down through the gas port into the barrel. If the gas cylinder is removed and re-installed too far forward, because it CAN be screwed too far in, it will block the gas completely. The regulator can be on 11 and the plug correct and it'll never function.

Guys... thanks a bunch.
I have a FAL build, and haven't run into tooo many problems. But you gave some good hints on the gas system!
