    L1A1 SUIT sight and cover

Nice L1A1 rifle SUIT sight and cover on that auction site. Dated 1975 but looks like it's brand new too. Britishicon and not ex Israeli. Item 1308-5324-3139 if interested

Shipping outside of Britainicon probably won't be a happy experience if the tritium vial or even the sticker are still with the scope. Just a "wild guess"...

The tritium will be long dead now. But that's for the buyer I guess. How different to the old Radium illuminant. We had a silenced Sten gun at Warminster (plus a couple of DeLisles) with radium in the rear of the foresight. Jeeeees, it still made the radiac meter tick like a crickets legs! My old Omega wristwatch did the same too. IT makes you wonder how mankind has ever lasated soooooooo long doesn't it?

Re the sight and Gary's dogooders thread above. Someone commenting on the SUIT sight says that the serpentine spring and eye cup isn't Britishicon Army. I had to go back to him and politely suggest that I'd been dealing with them for 30 years and if I ventured to suggest that they WERE original, then guess what.............. You couldn't make it up could you?

They're just trying to keep the price low...

Just noticed the eye cup. That is not one I've seen before. But I've only had 4 or 5.
