Mark 4 T to Range for Scope Practice
I arrived early at range to set a target at 100 yards. The first dot is 3 inches. I focused on the dot and fired 5 shots the first was out of the group but 4 were on target. The post in the scope was fuzzy so for the second dot which was 2 inches I focused on the post and let the target blur. This resulted in a better group.I used Prvi 180 grain Spitzer ammo. I am practicing to shoot a match in August that will be at 2 distances. 300 and 600. My 100 yard 0 is at 1+ 1 click. My windage is at 0. I got a scope tool from Numrich and adjusted the #32 Mark 1. I then moved the target to 300 yards. I moved the scope up 4 clicks, 200 yards and shot a silhouette steel center mass. The scope was bang on at 300 yards. I then moved to paper. The wind was blowing hard from right to left but I didn't change the windage. I repainted the target and shot the 3 inch dot. This spot was more difficult to see at 300 yards. The strikes above the spot and the shot at 9 o'clock was a five shot group.I then shot the 2 inch dot, a challenge to focus on, there are 4 strikes above the spot and the fifth can be seen on the third photo below the large spot. Next outing will be with homeloading and regulation targets to practice hold off. I will use dots as focus points with my holdoff for practice. It is different not being able to dial 1 or 2 minutes of elevation as needed with this scope. Big wind at range now so I put the Enfield away for the day. Will post after next range day.
