Our Club has a U.S. GVT. Marine Corp M14 loaned to the club, by uncle sam for the CMP Matches. It gets shot a lot, just not on Full Auto. I have not personally ever shot it, but I have seen it, and held it once, after a match. How doe's the whole "collectors premit" thing work? I havent heard anyone talk about those before. I met plenty of guys with full auto stuff before, stuff from WWII also, but they shot thier stuff, on full auto too. They just go to those machine gun meets with lots of other people to do it. The NRA ranges as a rule don't allow full auto around here. I had seen a line officer after a match on an Air Force Base, take his old "grease gun" down to the line by hiself and fire away for a few minutes. That was a welcome sound, especially after a high power match.
