    Collector's Souce Mk. III Ross

This is described as a "clean, honest" rifle.
The stock is a repaired one from an Indian deact. drill rifle. Note the patch where the notch from the Indian deact. pin was welded in place.
The rifle is most likely restocked. The obvious suspicion is that it is a restocked sported rifle. The stock markings are irrelevant to the barrelled action, unless the receiver has been rebarrelled.
While it could be considered a representative specimen, and may be "clean", whether it ccould be described as an "honest" specimen could be open for discussion. As a rebuild, it is overpriced.

I had also seen the "honest" word in that ad and laughed...

BTW, what is a Ross in that condition worth?
