Opinions on 2 pistols on GB

I am looking at these 2 items and would be interested in your collective opinions.

First is Colt Transition 1924 1911 1911a1 US Army Prewar : Curios and Relics at GunBroker.com

My main concerns here are the apperent lack of markings on the underside of the barrel and whether the slide is correct at all. It is hard to tell from the pictures, but it doesn't look like the rampent colt is between the patent and logo and shouldn't it be for a transitional?

    Second is Union Switch & Signal Co. 1911 A1 45 Auto 1911A1 : Semi-auto at GunBroker.com

Here my main concern is the main spring housing doesn't look like a US&S one, but it is kind of worn so I could be wrong.

    thanks

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. I think you hit most of the problems, right on, with the transition. I think that he calls it an Arsenal rebuild because he knows the slide is not right for the pistol. The barrel should have a K marked on the bottom just forward of the lug.
the US&S looks like it could be all correct but the condition is pretty bad to be asking $2700 for a starting bid. IMO

On the transitional model I asked for some additional pictures and he sent me and added to the auction The colt, or whats left of it, is between the patent dates and the logo. In picture 10 you can just make out the tail and the front hooves (he sent me a closer one where it is plainer). The body is pretty much gone.

FWIW... soliciting opinions from collectors on an example you already own is typicaly more fruitfull than information regarding an example running presently at auction.
