Exclamation How to use the Commercial Auction/Sale "Gossip" Forum

The Commercial Auction/Sale "Gossip" Forum, is an area for discussion about milsurp auctions and sales found on various COMMERCIAL on-line Internet sites. The purpose of this forum is to help our members to stay informed and be aware of auctions and sales that may contain pieces of great interest, but also give them a place to discuss and possibly avoid items of a questionable authenticity or unreasonable valuations. This forum is NOT a buying, selling or auction forum. Please DO NOT post private or commercial ads here.

This forum is NOT to be used for discussion or comment about private sales, by individuals who may be advertising their firearms or accessories in our own Quartermaster Stores area, or on other bulletin boards, such as Canadian Gun Nutz (CGN), Canadian Gunslingers (CGS), or Gunboards. The focus should remain solely on Commercial "for profit" establishments.

For discussions about private sales in our own Quartermaster Stores area, or on other bulletin boards, such as Canadian Gun Nutz (CGN), Canadian Gunslingers (CGS), or Gunboards, we do have a special private Appraisals and Mediation Forum, which is designed to provide value added services for our MILSURPS.COM Contributing Members ONLY. The purpose of this forum is to help our Contributing Members stay informed and be aware of private sales that may of interest, but also give them a place to gather and discuss valuations, authenticity and possibly avoid items of a questionable provenance.

Having said that, although we are a site that operates by donations only (click here) and accept no advertising from dealers or distributors, we still ask that all our members maintain a professional and mature approach, to discussing or evaluating firearms that appear in these listings. Unprofessional or unsubstantiated subjective criticisms lacking objectivity, will summarily be deleted by the moderation staff.

Finally, as with any auction or sale, when the item time expires or the piece gets sold, links to the sale or specific auction may become broken. So, be aware of this when you are checking out older auctions and sales. If you find a broken link, please report it to one of the moderators, so they can remove the post thereby maintaining the forum in a relatively current state.

Some of the more common sites to check out are as follows:

    GunBroker.com
    GunsCanada.biz
    Valleyguns.com

    Guns America
    Augustus Fine Antiques

We hope you enjoy this addition to the Military Surplus Collectors Forums.

    Regards,
