West Hurley used to have a 100 rd drum but understand they did not work too well, needed some adjustments.
Original Colt drums should work if you can find themAttachment 78033Attachment 78034

There is a guy in the US who rebuilds the new 50/100 round drums to work perfectly.. The original 100 and 50 Rd
do work well. The first run of new made 100 Rd, some worked with a little adjustment to major work.

early Savage and Colt 1921 magazine catch
Jim, noticed your early Savage had the early mag catch like the Colt 1921

Yes, my '28 Savage was apparently made on the Colt machines, according to an older man that should know... It had no hole in the center. I think the Cutts was the second pattern too? Is that right?
My M1
also had the flat paddles for the selector and the rocker pivot.

Jim, do you happen to know the age of your 1928 model Thompson, please? I'm guessing mid 1930s?

There doesn't seem to be any real records of the numbers, 1928 A1s yes...1921s yes...not in between though. Best guess is 1939, from what we could determine. Perhaps a bit earlier.
