B&S marked bolts...
...anyone know who made bolts stamped with B & S over a flaming bomb? Also, wich rifle maker would this be correct for? Markings are located on the top flat of the bolt handle.

Brown and Sharp made the bolt. They were made during World War II as replacement parts. Therefore, it is original to no M1903 rifle, but was used on virtually all of them as replacements.

Rick is correct. They are WWII replacement bolts and not particularly desirable. Not original to any '03, but decent quality bolts.

I purchased about ten of these B&S bolts, new in the wrap about 20 years ago.
Some of them are stamped 8620 on the bolt root. It is my considered opinion that that means they are made from 8620 steel. Which is the same steel used in the Garands of the period.
Brown and Sharpe were a precision tool and gage maker. Absolute first class gages.
