Recent buy, mind if I pick some brains? (Late No1mk3)
Hello, Short time lurker, first time poster.
So I recently picked up my first Enfield. From what I can tell, it was a British manufacture rifle, then refurbished and sent to India. The bolt, receiver, and barrel match, which kind of nice in mind. Now I know the India issue rifles get scrubbed now and then, which is where mine falls. Are there any other ways to distinguish manufacturer aside the rear band? I'd like to get an idea to when the origin year was.
(If any of you are on reddit, I had this on there as well, just figured I'd try and spread my views...Also, I'll try to take some more photos of the rifle, and stock.)

Welcome to the forum,
Your rifle has not been scrubbed; you have a "dispersal rifle." I type slow, so here are a couple of excerpt pics from Skennerton's "Lee enfield story," page 176-177.
Nice find! Enjoy it and shoot it plenty.

WW2 British made dispersal rifle, with British civilian proof marks as well.
Forestock is likely to be Indian made, with the cross strap at the rear.
