Haven't even seen it, looks to be cheap enough though.

It’s from a series of books, Bren, Sten, Enfield etc. I doubt there will be much new info in there.

What else is there to say after Peter Laidler's tour de force?

I received a copy and while I have only skimmed it, as noted, it is NOT "The Guns of Dagenham". BUT, I thought is was a nice, brief overview covering many of the prototypes and working developmental models up to the production weapon. The book has color throughout, so that is a nice touch. They cover campaigns and actions inclusive of the Sterlings performance, if somewhat brief in description. If one does not care to spend the price that the Laidler/Howroyd copy can run, this would be a cheaper, abbreviated alternative.
Btw, seeing the gold plated Sterling in full color is a bit more impressive than seeing it in B&W. No disrespect to the Bible of Sterling (The Guns of Dagenham).
See if you can find it in your local bookstore or have them order for you. With the $10 shipping on top of the purchase price, I paid $30, which is about $10 too much. :-)
