Ross mainspring retainer washer

I need a 1910 Ross mainspring retainer washer (firing pin retainer washer). Numrich gun parts has it for $2.40 but wants 30 bucks shipping. They must be drinking CLP over there. Can anyone help me out?

I made one with a file. Took an hour but it was worth it.

Get a small washer, just large enough for the firing-pin to pass through. It will be 'way too wide for the hole in the bolt-shank, so you start filing it down.

Look at the hole that it has to go into: be sure to leave that LIP on the washer. It is critical for positioning.

Once you have the thing to the point where it will FIT, start with a flat file to thin the main body, leaving that upward-standing lug (ridge) in the middle, both sides of the hole. That is the important part.

The lug on the side prevents the washer from turning in the bolt, the ridge on the top prevents the nut from turning and reducing compression on the striker spring. This prevents having the bolt firing-mech disassemble itself while you are shooting.

If you actually HAVE one of these, check that it is installed the right way. They don't work very well if they are installed upside-down.

A very similar system was used in the 1895 Mannlicher straight-pull, but it doesn't interchange.
