Milsurp jumble fest: The Good The Bad The Weird
A Korean made Western set mostly in Manchuria during the late 1930s. Not something for history buff nit-pickers, but action packed and lots of interesting weaponry. Some easily spotted samples include Mausers, Lee Enfields, Webleys, Arisakas, and some Japanese Type 11 LMGs! Good foley artists: the pistol shots sound rather more realistic than most Hollywood fare.
Some of the movie was actually filmed in China, so the backdrops are appropriate for the storyline.
Old trains, and horse chases with motorcyles mixed in (no idea if the motorcyles are vintage or not.)
Most glaringly out of place: US Jeeps and one of the protagonist's pair of P38 pistols.
Sound track's good, and there's little to no CG effects.
Was a fun movie, and will probably view it again.
