I am new to this site but not new to shooting. Get the paper a little closer and use the battle sight. Most rifles of this caliber (.30) if sighted at 25 yards, will place POI at 3"" high at 100 yards. Then move the paper farther away.

According to the UK MoD EMER technical instructions, fire two warming shots into the bank, then at at 25 yards, fire 5 shots at the same point on the aiming mark.
All 5 shots MUST fall inside or cut a rectangle 1" horizontal x 1.5" vertical.
The position of the mean point of impact (the MPI) will be 3/4" above the point of aim.
The backsight must be set at 200 yards. EXCEPT that if you use the flip-over Mk2 backsight, it will be set to 300 yards and the No4 bayonet fixed. In the case of the Mk2 backsight, the correct position of the MPI will be 1.5" above the point of aim.
But unless you are using military surplus ammo, you won't achieve these figures.
That's all there is to it!
