That's one I've never seen before. Black powder loads or do you have a "modern" load worked up for it?
A range report would be interesting! Or even an entry in the Milsurps competition.
BTW, unlike some forums, post count doesn't confer much status here. Some of our most valued members have a pretty low post count. However, their contributions have been quite useful, and people take their input seriously! But then there's folk like me...

Yes, jmoore I shoot a 370gn paper patched bullet using 22.5gn of SR4759. I fill the case with "Pufflon" lightly compressed and use a LR mag primer. I first shot BP in it but I've found the smokeless route best for me. It is pretty sweet from 100 yds. I will post a target whenever I take it out again this summer. I use a similar load for 43 Mauser, French Gras, 45-70 gov., and Berdan II. I'm not a salesman for Pufflon, but I'm sold on Pufflon!

I first used Pufflon with BP loads. I had some fff which was good for small capacity cases but when I got to 450/577 and the like I was at a loss as to what filler to use. Buffalo Arms had this product in inventory so I hit the companies web site to investigate. It is a filler but also a lubricant. It stated that the product can be used with BP or smokeless loads. I was skeptical but decided to give it a try. All that I can say is it performs exactly as per manufacturer's claims. i have no problems with ignition even in huge cases and the barrel stays very cool! When I am finished with a weapon I pull a couple of patches down the bore and usually the second one is pretty clean. I have only used it with SR4759 powder so that is all that I can personally vouch for.
