Scout Regt Telescope and Tripod
Spotting/Telescopes used with the British snipers. I had posted about mine when I first got it about 17 yrs ago and now being retired and trying to look busy to keep from doing some honey-do things the wife is thinking up. I thought I would re-post the old post as it as it is pretty interesting about the telescopes. My post on the scope and tripod I have is on the last page. Anyway, here are some photos of mine again. What is interesting with mine is the tripod is an original arsenal made/or converted tripod not just a cut down one along with the arsenal made, leather carrier for the shorter leg tripod.

Found it! knew I remember an old post about the tripods. Here it is, interesting info on the tripods. The one I have is apparently a WWII Arsenal conversion by the Canadian govt from a WWI long legged platform, The leather sling also appears to have been originally made by the government for it, Ray

I've got one of the cut-down Parker-Hale ones somewhere, (it was being thrown out) and it's pretty difficult to tell that it was cut down.

The better scope optically IMHO PH all the time, but I'm bound to say that!!

Hi Ray, I am actually a member of the GW Forum, but I don't post on there as a rule, although (jesting apart) there is lots of interesting stuff on there. Must check it out more often.
