It's amazing some of the slang, that comes from the soldiers such as the "grim reaper" which is often a reference to the M1 Garand rifle in general and the International Harvester built M1 Garands specify. For our international friends, International Harvester (now known as Navstar) built farm equipment specially grain reapers.
