Thanks for that Jmoore - never seen a 3(T) 'in the flesh' myself over here in Blighty. I wasn't aware that BSA made any scopes for rifles actually...

And that's not just ANY No3 (T), it's an Irish Free State contract example. Note the markings on the leg of the rear ring, the BSA logo on the scope tube, & the more squared off contour of the front base. Nice.

Strange, the FF looks like the logo of 'Florence and Fred', the clothing side of Tesco ( a large UK clothing and food store.....)! Are you sure it wasn't from Tesco DRP?
