Britishicon Army issue Walther PP experimental holster..

I got this from a local military vehicle rally, it is made from tan leather with a spring metal belt clip.
The Walther PP was issued as a personal protection pistol (when in civilian clothes) for troops and the R.U.C. during the “troubles” in Northern Ireland, from 1968 (when the troops first went in) until the PP was replaced with the Walther P5 around 1990.

This one is stamped with 964-1254 (last 7 of the NATO part number)
And XL2 E1 (the Brits used the X and E for experimental pieces of equipment)

Very neat. Inside waist band. Apparently the Royal Canadianicon Mounted Police were issued PPK for international duty many years ago. The idea was probably the same as this one. You can get 32 auto in that area but not some of the North American calibers. Spare parts too.
    Regards, Jim

The PP and PPk have been used for hideout duties since their introduction.

Both sides used them in WW2. Hitler reportedly carried two, a 6.35mm in a holster sewn into his pants (concealed) and a 7.65 or 9mm Kurz on the belt when in uniform.

I was issued one in 1982 along with a .22 Walther pistol for personal protection. There are still some of these around.
