Looking for undrilled 20MOA scope mount for Springfield 1903
Hi guys, first post here. Hopefully you guys can help me. I have a sporterized 1903 that I received from my grandfather a few years ago. It currently has weaver rail sections that were drilled and tapped into the receiver to mount a scope. I took the gun out past 100 yards for the first time a few weeks ago, and it turn out it's a tack driver. I got a 2.25" group at 400 yards, and I'm not even that great of a shot.
My problem is, the scope ran out of adjustment at that point, and I couldn't take it any further. The range goes out to 1100 yards and I'd like to be able to shoot the entire distance. So I did some searching and found that EGW makes 20MOA mounts for the 1903, but they already have holes in them. I got the specs from EGW, and the hole pattern is completely different than the holes that are already in my rifle. They said they could get me an undrilled version, but it wouldn't be available until their next production run which could be 6 months out or longer.
I thought about buying the rail anyway and having the holes tig welded shut and redilling it, but then I'd have to get it anodized, and it would be a pretty big project at that point. I'm hoping someone out there has a lead on an undrilled mount that I could fit to my receiver. Anyone? Thanks!

You do not need to change scope bases. Burris makes their Pos-Align rings that will fit your Weaver bases. These rings use nylon insert bushings to eliminate alignment issues with scope mounting or off-center scope mounts. They also sell a bushing kit with offset bushings for about $10. The offset bushings will allow you to angle your scope with -20 moa in the front ring and +10 or 20 in the rear ring.
