The fact that the bolt matches is a plus. So many of them got swapped in transit from Japan to the U.S. One of the theories is the Navy took them out for the voyage and when they arrived stateside, bolts were passed out without concern about matching numbers.
If the stock has it's original finish, keep it that way. Making it "pretty" will turn a $250 rifle into a $150 rifle.
