I'm not 100% but I don't think Winchester used XX screws at that serial number. Brian?
Also, I think that was getting near the end of spring tubes for Winchester.

Brian, Bill, Charlie, you guys really have got to sit down and teach me all this stuff one of these day before you all get too old and die. I actually learn alot of stuff from these kinds of posts - thanks.

The carbine posted about is SN# 1,079,615.
Some notes I have here show a overlap of I cut and Type II oval cut WRA stocks.
Don't remember who I got this info from but it states that,
I cut Hi wood were used from first production to about 1,153,591 with the large boxed WRA/GHD used up to about 1,067,649.
The Type II Oval cut Hi wood came into use at about 1,067,649 with the unboxed W.R.A./G.H.D. stamp being used around 1,055,513.
I see the buyer of this carbine left happy feedback.
