Marine Corps Sight Protectors
The Marine Corps had a sight protector for the M1903 that was larger than standard and was designed for shooting with the sight protector on. Someone mentioned that there are reproductions of this sight protector available. Does anyone have a source?

Picked up one from Sarco last fall, you'll also need the sight blade.
The sight you are referring to is the No.10, which was used by the USMC on the 1903, not the 1903A3. The front blade was .10" wide, hence the name. There is also a corresponding rear slide assembly with a .10" peep sight.
Bill Bentz (dcm450shtr@comcast.net) makes reproduction USMC No.10 sight sets. Can't remember the exact price, but they're not cheap. I've got a set installed on my 1903A1 and they're great.
