    Picked up a CZ-82

A far more modern milsurp, but still a milsurp.

I saw these for sale on AIMsurplus so I did some research. I couldn't find anything negative about them other than that they are "more complicated" than the older makarovs and tokarevs.

Well, I got mine today from my dealer.

First impression is that this gun feels rock solid. It is definitely heavy for its size, but it's probably damn near indestructible. I doubt it hurts felt recoil either.

Came with two 12 rounds mags, and a leather holster.

Minimal wear on the gun itself, bore looks about new. The dots on the sights on mine are gone.

The grips fit my hand just about perfectly - I have big hands (6'4" / 275lbs ) so I was worried a smaller gun like this might be a bad fit, but it is not. I am very pleased with the way it fits in my hand.

Unfortunately, I must reserve shooting impressions for a later date.

I tried searching for other threads related to the CZ-82 but couldn't find anything- I know some of you have them, let's hear about them!

Freaky no-rifling-looking oval bore, and good ergonomics were my first impressions. Don't have one,...yet.

The only complaint I heard when out shooting is it slaps the web of your hand. I might hold it different because I never noticed.
I liked it enough to get a second.

I think a lot of people confuse this with the original Makarov, which I have heard that happens with. I still haven't had a chance to fire it. But just holding it makes me want another.
