Enfield L42A1 scope mount

Enfield L42A1 mount on evil-bay. #200432655499. Looks like a well made clone. I guess I have a L42A1 on the build list now.

No problem, we encourage linking to anything that is on topic and relevant to our hobby, even current auctions. We view it as a practice which benefits all of the membership and if a seller happens to be a member too, then he gets the added value of having his auction exposed to far more qualified and interested buyers.

We do seem to have some kind of a web link "translation" problem, which I'm working on. For some reason, the odd link to eBay comes up with ""Invalid or Listing Removed" when in fact its not.

So, make sure you check the link after posting it, that it does work. If there's a problem with the translating to English routine, simply force the link to appear in native mode by putting the http://www.xxxx.com URL brackets directly around the http://www.xxxx.com web link part.

Regards,
Badger

If I’m not mistaken these are the ones being made by Milsurps member Surpmil.
I’d love to have on for my No4T so I can fit more modern scopes for target shooting.

I don't want to sing anyones praises, but we have tried one of the surpmil brackets on a live firing L42, albeit only on our 30 metre range, and it is absolutely perfect in every way. Fit, colimation, ability to retain IIW zero when remved and refitted.

If you haven't got one in your L42 kit or as a spare, then get one NOW. Just remember the words of the loveable, grumpy but so true John Sukey who told us all from experience on the other forum that everything was cheap..... yesterday.

Bless you John, I have used that expression many, many times since

I bought one just before xmas under recommendation from a friend.
Very nice seller very sympathetic, and great to talk to.
Fits perfectly, with a great finish and I am very happy with it, going to use it with my redfield LE12 police sniper scope.

There's only one place you'll get an IWS mount from Fritze.............. That's Surpmil who contributes on this site. He told me that once they're gone, that's it. Maybe Surpmill could advise us of their availability.

As I said, we shot one here and it was perfect. In fact we let the whole course have a go just to let them get the feel of an old L42 with IWS. That got their shoulder and arm muscles working!

Thanks for the referral Peter. Finally got the parkerizing issue worked out so have some curing right now. Not sure if I'll list on EvilBay again or not.
