    Charlie, have a look at the rear of the right lug in pic No 4.
    I think there maybe something there, but the pic is not accurate enough to be sure ? Might be W.1 or W I ?. Which reminds me, I'm still looking for info on what looks like a backwards stamped Z on any Carbine. Hope you are well. Cheers, Mike.

    May have been someone, whose job it was to do the steel test punches, having a bad day !. They are not normally seen in that format ? You got to get used to the unexpected when collecting Carbines. Better pics would help. Mike.

    I`m sure I have that stamped z on one of my carbines. I`ll check later.
