Attachment 23979Attachment 23980Took my type 99, 23/21671 Kokura, w/mum, all matching including dustcover to the range. Ammo was gun show buy, formed from LC 69 30-06 brass. Took it to 50 yd range to see how high it was going to shoot. Literature says lowest slide setting is 300m. Battle peep, however is about a click lower than that. What is the battle peep range supposed to be ? To my surprise is was shooting to point of aim (6 o'clock hold). Consistant at 100 yds where I had to hold 8" high. The sights do not look like they have been messed with. What do I have, wimpy ammo ? Also the stock has a hole just above the magazine floorplate that goes through to the barrel. Does this have a function, drain ? Don't want to break the staking of the screws to see what is on the other end of that hole. Any insights would be appreciated.
