I recently acquired a Remington bayonet with the letters "F M R" stamped on the top side of the pommel. Underneath the letters are the numbers "274". The blade has the Remington mark, 1917 date, U.S., Ordnance Bomb and the inspectors stamp.

This bayonet does not have a cleaning hole on the pommel.

Any information regarding the pommel markings will be appreciated.
