Hello Knowledgable Milsurpers! Could I please get an SRS check check on S/N 1336429. It has an Star Gaged SA 4-29 barrel and a punch mark on the receiver rail about an inch or so from the receiver head (Where the s.n is). Thanks! Jason

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I've also been meaning to start an SRS thread recently. I will add mine too so that another thread does not need to be created. I've got two I would like to have checked if possible. If two is too many, I am more concerned with the Garand as it is Mostly correct (Wrong Stock). The carbine is a mixmaster with about 60% correct parts.
    The Guns:

    M1icon Garand
    SA 6-42 Production
    SN: 676292

    M1 Carbine
    WRA Production
    SN: 1113186

    Thanks Again

Yes ... for a price. For a simple receipt (like a National Match), about $65. For an actual record, in the $100-150 range.

I think it would be worth it though, don't you?

I think on the NRA Sales weapons the letter is $50/65, but if the serial number is recorded but requires research the cost is $175/250. Just my opinion, but I don't see paying for research on a rifle that has been rebuilt multiple times.
