'Schell' is a known name in America of Germanicon origin and is most likely correct. Check out this Wikipedia entry.

BTW, those nice leather scabbards are incredible. Probably the most desirable of all Carbine accessories.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Guys,
I've known BobG for a long time.
He is spot on with his descriptions of condition.
His weakness? The man can't take pictures.
If he'll chime in with a description of condition, straps etc, would ya'll pitch in with some ball park values?

He picked it up at a recent gun show. Like most of us, sets up at a show and spends more $$ than he sells!

    Appreciate any help,
    Charlie-painter777

In my area, and the maker does not make a difference.

Poor condition with all straps $200-$225
Good condition with all straps $300-$350
Ex+ condition with all straps $400-$500

I have seen poor condition with no straps sell for $100

Not common, but not really rare, they do show up now and then.
