    Weird no4mk1 with a 3 digit serial number (PF2xx)

So I have been asked to help identify a weird no4mk1 (F)

It's marked 10/47 PF 2XX. (XX) to obfuscate the last two numbers btw.
It appears to have a enforcer style magazine with a weird ported barrel, unsure of the caliber.

    Can anyone help me out?

So far it sounds like a No.4 Mk.2 fitted with a 7.62mm barrel with muzzle brake and L8 magazine. Thousands of such conversions done in the Britishicon Commonwealth. Not many with muzzle brakes though.

There's a problem here Harmonium! It's like phoning up the garage and telling them that your car won't start and expecting an answer. By putting their heads together, the VM's there will probably come up with an answer - probably, possibly and eventually. But if you towed it there, the first VM to see and hear it whirring over (that's even if it whirrrrrrs over at all.....) will give you THE answer.

So take the car to the garage by letting us SEE it. One picture really does describe a thousand words

Are you going to let us see a picture of the beast so that we can all learn a bit?

But here is another probable answer to the calibre question. Slip into the chamber a spent .303" Britishicon cartridge case. If it chambers, locks and operates when you squeeze the trigger and ejects afterwards, then it's VERY probably .303"

Without seeing photos I think Surpmil is as close as we can come with the info you`ve provided except with the low PF serial number and date I`d go with it being a Mk.1 unless it`s been FTR`ed and upgraded to a MKII trigger.

I wish that these questioners would just come straight out and say words to the effect of '.........here's a low baller that I can't get an answer to anywhere else so I thought I'd ask you lot. I'll pick your brains and tease for a bit but I'll just leave it at that and not come back again with so much as a bye your leave. I won't bother to answer anyone elses questions, even though they were interested enough to ask and polite enough to answer'

In fact, there's been a few of them. They make me................ enough said!

If anyone else agrees with the straight talking and forthright Peter Laidlers comment, PLEASE add a note of thanks in the THANKS space just to let them know

He was last on the site 3 July. But we wild colonials are celebrating being reballious, so he may not wander back on site for a while. Too busy "being patriotic" don't you know...

    But the sentiment is understood!
