    M1905 Converted fighting knife

Found this and its a little odd... most likely not an official made item but most likely a theater made knife....

Blade is almost 7" long. Number 37 stamped in grip. Who is the maker vP2 for the scabbard?
The scabbard is metal and only 8" long. Looks like a pro/armourer job...

    Comments welcome...

    Thanks.

VP is Victory Plastics. They made lots of scabbards all the way up to the late models. Hard to say exactly when it was done, I've done a couple with damaged bayonets myself...could be second war, who knows? Sure is a good starting point though.
    Regards, Jim
