    M1 Grand stock markings

Would any one know something about this stock. There is no maker stamp on it just a few #/s. on the right side . Top to bottom AA , 42410 , 44 There is a P on the pistol grip & looks like # 's 383 in the barrel channel . The Garand is a Springfield 7/54. This is the one I just finish bulding with the help of browningautorifleicon & a few other guys. BIG THANKS. It only needed a barrel & bolt pics of it on another post.

The AA is the Augusta Arsenal re-build mark and the numbers could be the SN or rack number depending how many digits...the P in circle is the proof mark. It's simply a used stock that has gone through the mill.

What stock markings would be correct for the receiver.

I think by then they were using SA/JLG? Depends on the number...maybe just the DAS marking. I'm not sure about that...

Interesting thread as I have a Winchester Garandicon with the Augusta Arsenal AA stamp with numbers below it on my stock also. Was just typing a new topic I am about to post about it with the same question. I would love to know what the numbers mean if anyone knows!

You say the rifle is a SA, July 1954, so the SA stock with DAS would be correct.

Left side just below the rear sight. That's on the lower stock group of course...
