A French Mle 1822 T bis in Ok shape except for the bore was captured Saturday. Further details to follow in the Blackpowder (since there's no French) Forum.

I picked up a Gras 1866-74-80 on Sunday and posted it in the General Milsurps discussion. It's under French Gras Question. Also, since there's no French Forum and I didn't even think of the Blackpowder section.

Picked Up IMA No.! Mk.III Dummy Trainer
Well, I have been watching the IMA web site for one of these, they do not last long in stock, that is for sure. I finally got to order one special select in February, but I did not receive it until last Friday. Less than two weeks after I ordered it, it was out of stock again. I called them to find out what was taking so long, I was wanting one without a cracked stock, apparently which was taking them so long to find a decent one. They told me they were waiting for another batch from the warehouse to go through! Well the one I received is interesting. But I will post a link in the meantime until I can take some decent pictures of it with a more detailed description.
Original British WWI Lee-Enfield SMLE No.1 Dummy Training Rifle with Bayonet ima-usa.com
I had already ordered their Indian version with the square nosecap in the late 90's for about $75.00 or so originally. SO this one will complement it.
If someone else has one of these it would be nice to hear some comments about their experience?

I have one that I bought from Brock's a few years back. It is a pretty nice one. Not abused. It fits well with my trainer and drill rifle collection. Glad to have it.

Further purchases:
Another French weapon: About new condition MAS 49/56 with manual, bayonet, night sights, etc. Even a couple of belts of 7,5 ammo, late '60s vintage.
And a Finnish 28/30. 1934 in "not new" condition , but matching in the Finnish fashion. A little different in some details than the 1938 example purchased last year. Neither have all that good of bores, which is very sad, given their excellent reputation for accuracy. But the ones I saw in the eighties weren't any better, and it's taken this long to find something reasonably acceptable. Maybe my standards have lowered!
Getting camera time and doing uploads have been problematic of late, so there may be some delay in plastering their images on the interweb thingie.
