    7,92x57 Portuguese Mauser Vergueiro Photo Thread

    Found this one recently. Weird, weird, weird bolt design, given it's 20th century design timeframe. (1904 adoption date.) Otherwise a nice rifle:






    Split bridge to accomodate the bolt handle in the midsection. A late design to incorporate such placement.













    Only external hint that these rifles were either rebuilt in Germanyicon or had parts sourced from there:
