You know, it might just shoot like a b@stard...? Those laminate stocks don't let much moisture in and stay pretty rigid.

Yes agreed, I also put in a schuster gas plug so I can use commercial ammo without over pressure

If you use a Garand "thumb saver" (sold elsewhere) you insert an empty en-bloc clip and can single load and shoot all rounds - clip doesn't eject. Kind of makes it like a Johnson in some respects.

But you want the repetition. The idea is 8 rounds. You just have to load singles. I'm not afraid to do it. I'm friends with my M1s. They don't bite me.
