Warner & Swasey Model 1908 M1903 Sniper Rifle
Well, she's done. I picked her up as a barreled receiver from CMP about 6 years ago. She had three plugged holes on the receiver side, barrel SA 4-09, serial number 352,98X. Ever since then I've been collecting parts, reading books, and pestering anyone with 1903 knowledge with questions. A special thanks to Promo - your M1903 WS 1908 now has a sister - we'll have to get a photo of us with her too. I'll try an post more (and better) pictures tomorrow. Single bolt JSA stock, pre-1920 handguard (no sight groove). WS Telescopic Musket Sight, serial number 811, for rilfe number 352,870 stamped in mount channel.

Wow, where did you get such a nice M1903 stock from? This one is marvellous, and makes the rifle even better!
This rifle is definately a reason why I should come to the US, we'll speak on that! Looking to additional pictures of it!

The handguard comes from my spares bin; the stock showed up on ebay. The time to buy parts and wood (in great shape) is when you find then. If you wait until you need them...reminds me of the old saying "If you want to hear God laugh, tell him your plans." Sorry for the photo "quality" best i can do with an iphone 3 and a desk lamp.

Amen to THAT. If you're serious, you'd better jump on something when you see it.
