L42A1 Clone on GB?

Correct in your assumption........but the seller has used the words: Enfield No4 Mk1 (T) like L42A1 Sniper in 7.62.
Lots wrong, and against all my principles I often state, but thats what you are buying

As far as a clone goes, the rifle is not good to go? From the pictures, the action bears No4T markings and the barrel looks to be a heavy contour....
