Photo of my uncle (Hump Pilot) in the CBI Theater

My uncle Warren flew C47 & C46 cargo planes over the Himalayas' as a "Hump" Pilot in the China, Burma, India theater of WWII. He crash landed twice and survived without serious injury. Many of his friends, however, are still in the mountains.
He is on the left with the Thompson. DiAngelo in the center has an M1icon carbine. Wilhelm on the right has an M1 Garand. They all had 1911's and their jeep had a mounted .50 Cal. M.G.
The back of the picture says they were hunting (R&R) in Yunnan Province of China in 1945.
Warren passed away six years ago, but his memory has kept me grounded in 1945.
