I don't know whether it is the sheer weight of the B-25 model or superb handling but that is about as close to real ground and take off performance of a larger plane as I've ever seen in a model.

    Love the two Chipmunks!

Is the Hawker Hunter restoration for full airworthy or just display?

Paul, it's a MACCHI MB326H, it will eventually be fully restored.

It fooled me although I thought the canopy lines didn't look right for a Hunter.

Love the Bird Dog. That was the first plane I flew.

    thanks for the pics muffett.

there is a T-6 and a stearman? (in naval colours) at the local airport that i see flying at least once every two weeks, but the sound of a BIG IC engine will still draw me out, looking at the sky, every time.

back in the early 90's i was on a beach in the bush south of sydney when a single macchi came booting along just off shore at about 150 - 200' above sea level on a perfect summers day. the image will stay in my mind for ever.

Beautiful! De Havilland aircraft certainly had graceful lines.
