South Cerney Aifield is today used as a mustering point for troops heading abroad via Brize Norton, the same rumours of buried aircraft go for Kemble (just down the road), certainly when I worked at the Airfield briefly 20 plus years ago, lots of material was removed from the old dump , or should I say the "official dump" ... lots of emm unofficial "dig a hole and forget about it" areas had existed over the years at Kemble, today no one really knows where.
We have discussed this issue before, that's why ex MOD sites cost so much money to sanitise prior to redevelopment !
