Enfield No 4 mk1
Today I paid a visit to the National Firearms Centre in Leeds, Once I'd picked my jaw up off the floor having seen the collection, I was handed what looked like a No4 mk1, however this had a magazine cut off fitted. I thought these were deleted during revised manufacture of the No1 mk3?

The pre-volume production 1930's Enfield made Trials rifles still retained the mag cutoff, & the slot for it can be seen on a very few early scrubbed rifles assembled at Faz as the ex-Trials parts were sent there in 1941 when the various factories started volume production of the No4 rifle. But as a general observation, you are correct.
