Sincerely Would Like SRS lookup on my 1888 Trapdoor
.
Rifle is an 1888 SA Trapdoor serial #: 127519
SWB 1891 cartouche,
Top of Comb on stock: A 16
Right side of stock: “71” "16"
Little bit of history I have is that it is a early experimental model 1888 rifle that
is correct original armory manufactured rifles of the 1890 period
Rifle was from the Striker family and owner was Dan Striker who received it from his
GrandDad Fran Striker (author of the Lone Ranger and The Silver Bullet book, 1925)from
Up State New York
Thanks in Advance for any information
~Gunny

GySgt USMC - FWIW, your Stock 'cartouche' is actually "S.W.P", for Samuel W. Porter. He was Master Armorer at Springfield Armory from 1879 to 1894.
