Type 99 with mismatching stock and hand guard colors

I bought a fairly good looking Type 99 Nagoya Series 4 rifle but the hand guard it came with was a pretty different color from the stock itself. The stock is one of the reddish urushi stocks but the top hand guard is a more yellowish color. Is it possible some rifles left the arsenals with mismatching hand guards to the stock?

(also to note, every part is matching except the firing pin and safety knob)
